The Armory is known for its big, loud crowd at Rudder basketball games. On Friday as the Rudder boys faced District 19-5A opponent Waller, the Rangers’ home crowd and their offense seemed to mirror each other. Both had their moments, but neither had enough to scare away the Bulldogs.

Waller’s defense rose at key moments as the Bulldogs snapped a three-game losing streak with a 79-67 win.

“We play so much better on the road than we do at home, because our kids focus more being away from Waller,” Waller head coach Earl Claiborne said. “If I could, I would play every game on the road.”
